Asset Protection Property Management is not just an ordinary management company. We are a renovation company as well!

Over time, a rental house or apartment will become dirty and worn from years of use by tenants. In order to attract the highest quality tenants, every so many years the walls will need to be painted, carpet and linoleum replaced, light fixtures updated, faucets and toilets replaced, appliances replaced, and so forth. It is amazing what fresh paint and carpet can do to make a property look brand new!

Asset Protection has had years of experience renovating rental properties. We utilize quality sub-contractors and handymen to perform the work while we supervise to make sure the work is performed quickly and with an eye for quality. Because of the amount of work we give to our sub-contractors and handymen, we are able to negotiate far better labor rates than most property owners are able to do themselves.

There is no need to pay the exorbitant rates most contractors will charge for a remodel. Most of our workmen charge $15 to $25 per hour, and they provide their own tools and insurance.

How much does a renovation cost?

A typical 900 square foot, 2-bedroom apartment that needs paint, carpet, linoleum, and other odds and ends will cost around $3,000 to $4,000 to make it look like new! Obviously costs will vary, but you get the idea.

How long will it take?

We at Asset Protection understand that time is money. Every day your property sits vacant while it is being renovated is like throwing money down the drain! That is why we take great pride in turning a property over quickly. The moment a tenant gives notice that they will be moving out, we start scheduling workmen to arrive at the property shortly after the tenant vacates. The carpets are removed, the walls are prepped, and usually within one day, the paintwork has begun. A few days later the carpet installer comes in to lay carpet and linoleum. Usually within 7 to 10 days from the start of the renovations, the property is ready for the next tenant. And the whole time your property is being renovated, Asset Protection will advertise the property for rent. We can usually receive a holding deposit from a new tenant long before the renovations are complete so that they are ready to move in the moment the property is ready.
